Anne Theiss

Journalist and author, she was a long-time personal assistant to Hubert Burda

Anne Theiss, born in 1984 in Aalen, also known as “Swabian Siberia,” studied Political Science with minors in Economics and German Studies at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. Starting in 2011, she attended the Burda School of Journalism and worked for BUNTE.de and FOCUS, among others. She was a long-time personal assistant to Hubert Burda.

In 2015, her daughter was born with the rare Phelan-McDermid syndrome. A son followed in 2022. In September 2023, her book “The Devaluation of Mothers – How Outdated Family Policies Cost Us Prosperity” was published by Droemer Knaur. In March 2025, the anthology “Rethinking Motherhood” was released.
