Astrid Blechschmidt is a partner at Q_PERIOR, an internationally active management and IT consultancy. Prior to her studies, Astrid completed an apprenticeship as a hotel manageress in Heidelberg. After studying business administration in Munich, she worked on the introduction of Internet booking systems in “incoming tourism” and developed her first e-commerce concepts at a consulting firm specializing in tourism. As a division manager at the Munich-based system integrator MaibornWolff, Astrid was responsible for setting up and managing the “IT Consulting” division. She then took over customer responsibility for the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) at T-Systems Switzerland. This was followed by the management of an IT company with around 100 employees that had been incorporated into the group, and in 2016 she moved to Q_PERIOR. She has an excellent network of people in decision-making positions and sees herself as an enabler for women in IT. Since 2000, Astrid has also been a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich at the Chair of Tourism.
