About the author and the book BeHauptet – Ayla Işik is 43 years old, lives in Cologne, and is an author and mother of three children. Until the age of 33, she diligently practiced her religion, Islam. When she began to ask critical questions and take responsibility for her life, a difficult phase started, pushing her mentally and physically to her limits. Ostracized by her community, she starts an entirely new life, without her husband and children. She completes her training as a naturopath, learns what it means to take responsibility for her own life, and studies journalism and PR.

Ayla Işik published her book in 2022 under a pseudonym for legal reasons. In addition to her work as an author, she is a theological and cultural consultant, mentor, ambassador of values, and trainer in facial expression resonance, anti-bias, and interculturality.
