From Associate Consultant to Principal Manager Data Analytics at Camelot Management Consultants… Bhavana Jotwani is determined and knew early on that she wanted to build a career.

Bhavana grew up in South India. “I have wonderful parents, but as an Indian woman, I grew up in a patriarchal system,” Bhavana says. If it had been up to her father, she would have focused on starting a family after earning her bachelor’s degree. However, Bhavana pursued her own plans. She studied engineering, worked at Bosch in Bangalore, and then applied for an MBA program in Mannheim. She has been living there for nine years now.

Camelot Management Consultants optimizes value chains and supply chains through an integrated consulting approach, from strategy development to the implementation of IT solutions. Within just seven years, Bhavana climbed five career levels at the company.

“There was a project team where I felt that I wasn’t considered capable of contributing much due to my age, gender, and foreign language,” Bhavana recalls. Her response? “I sharpened my focus and concentrated entirely on delivering results.” Her potential was recognized, and Bhavana quickly advanced into leadership roles as a talented consultant.

For Bhavana, a career is more than just a job title. Personal growth is important to her, as is the societal impact of her work.

In 2018, Bhavana founded Camelot’s ESG (Environmental Social Governance) Council. Shortly thereafter, Camelot Management Consultants signed the Diversity Charter (Charta der Vielfalt e.V.). This initiative has already created significant value for the company and its employees!
