Franziska Schutzbach is a book author, gender researcher/sociologist (Ph.D.), and lecturer. For many years, she has been writing, researching, teaching, and speaking on various gender-related topics, including care work and compatibility, gender-specific violence, misogyny and anti-feminism, racism, reproductive health and rights. Her latest political non-fiction book was published in October 2021: „Die Erschöpfung der Frauen. Wider die weibliche Verfügbarkeit“. She is a mother of two children. Additionally, she is a member of the Gender Equality Commission of Basel City and hosts the feminist salon at Kaserne Basel on a monthly basis.
