Born in 1989 in Frankfurt, Dr. med. Michaela Hagemann moved to Munich for her medical studies. She conducted her doctoral research on pediatric liver tumors and was confident that she was on track for a career as a pediatrician at a German university hospital. However, as life often teaches us, everything suddenly changed: When Michaela’s daughter was born in 2014, she discovered a market gap for natural, pleasantly scented baby care products suitable for sensitive skin. She promptly developed her own line of natural cosmetics and has sold over 1 million skincare products to date. The boep brand offers vegan natural cosmetics for the whole family, produced in the Allgäu region, with a strong online store and supplying over 4000 drugstores in the DACH region. Michaela has three daughters and was included in the European “30 under 30” list by Forbes Magazine in 2019.
