Dr. Kristina Wagner holds a dual mandate on the Executive Committee of OHB SE Group, one of Europe’s leading aerospace companies.

As Chief Technology Officer and Chief Digital Officer, she is committed to democratizing space exploration. “And then there’s something else: multiplanetary life—can we build infrastructure on the Moon? A refueling station on the way to Mars?” Kristina is passionate about what she does and has big visions.

After completing her doctorate, the mathematician wanted to enter the industry and develop innovative ideas collaboratively. She joined Siemens Corporate Technology and later moved to KUKA AG, a provider of automation solutions and robotics.

When OHB approached Kristina and asked if she’d like to bring the transformation she had helped shape in robotics into the space industry, she didn’t hesitate. “The pioneering achievements of space exploration fascinate me. Being able to help shape the future here is simply amazing,” says the mother of two with excitement!

It’s not just the grand visions of the future that make space exploration so exciting. Space already impacts our everyday lives. For example, in the spring of 2024, OHB launched two Galileo navigation satellites into orbit.

Kristina is proud that her children will one day know their mother contributed to groundbreaking work.
