Jana Ringwald is the Chief Public Prosecutor at the Central Office for Combating Internet Crime (ZIT) of the Public Prosecutors Office in Frankfurt am Main and has been involved in numerous internationally noted takedowns of darknet marketplaces. Along with her team, she investigates cases of cyberattacks against German companies and has secured illegally obtained cryptocurrencies amounting to hundreds of millions. She is a columnist for Tagesspiegel Background Cybersecurity, a sought-after keynote speaker, and represents the federal government in the European Judicial Cybercrime Network at Eurojust in The Hague. In November 2023, she received the EMOTION Award in the category “Women in Digitalization.”
