“In the past, I looked for people who fit my company. Now, I look for people who also fit me personally,” says Jasmin Ohme, founder and managing director of the recruitment agency Das Kontaktwerk (DKW Consulting GmbH).

This approach, which she uses to select employees for her own company, also benefits her clients. “We communicate openly and transparently, set mutual expectations very clearly, and maintain regular exchanges with our clients.” The result? Around 92% of the talents placed by DKW remain with their new employer.

Das Kontaktwerk is her “baby,” Jasmin says of the recruitment agency she founded. The strong trust relationship she and her team build with clients enables them to do more than just place talent: they inspire and raise awareness during the recruitment process, advocate for working mothers, and suggest opportunities for career starters.

Jasmin firmly believes that diverse profiles can be a real asset. Her own team reflects this, with multiple generations working together. “There’s a significant exchange of knowledge between our 20-year-old dual-study student and our 60-year-old colleague,” she says enthusiastically.

Knowledge and learning are topics close to Jasmin’s heart. Staying mentally agile, adapting flexibly to changes, and continuously developing and complementing one’s skills are crucial. Her advice? Try testing yourself more often! Jasmin is convinced that competency and personality tests not only aid in team building but also in personal growth. “At every stage of life, gaining a clear reflection of where you stand and where you want to go through a test is a huge benefit.”
