Kristina Lunz
Co-Founder and CEOCentre for Feminist Foreign Policy
Kristina Lunz is an entrepreneur, author, and activist. She is the CEO of the Centre for Feminist Foreign Policy (CFFP), which she co-founded in 2018. In 2019, she was recognized by Forbes as one of the “30 Under 30,” is a Young Leader of the Atlantik-Brücke, an Ashoka Fellow, a BMW Foundation Responsible Leader, a “Thought Leader 2020” by Handelsblatt/BCG, and one of Focus Magazine’s “100 Women of the Year 2020.” She is also a member of the Advisory Group of the Goalkeepers Initiative of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
In 2019/20, Kristina worked as an external consultant at the Federal Foreign Office, founded the feminist network Unidas for Heiko Maas, and served as Gender and Coordination Officer for UNDP in Yangon, Myanmar, and in NYC, as well as for the NGO Sisma Mujer in Bogotá, Colombia, focusing on “Women, Peace, and Security” (WPS). She holds two master’s degrees from University College London and the University of Oxford.
Kristina is also a bestselling author of the book “The Future of Foreign Policy is Feminist” (in German; publisher: Ullstein/Econ Verlag; February 2022). An English version was published in September 2023. She also contributed a chapter to the bestseller “Unlearn Patriarchy” released in Fall 2022. Kristina was the German face of the 2022 Giorgio Armani campaign “Crossroads” to empower women and appeared in national and international media such as Vogue and The Guardian.
