“Work takes up so much time in life. There would be nothing worse than already longing for Friday on a Monday,” says Mette Mogensen, Functional Lead at the ESG Competence Center of Berlin Hyp AG.

During her business studies, Mette realized that she is a hands-on person who doesn’t want to focus solely on theory. She opted for a dual study program and spent three years as a student at the real estate bank Berlin Hyp. Since then, she often spots construction projects across Berlin that her employer, Berlin Hyp, has helped finance.

Today, she works there on developing sustainable financing products for commercial real estate—a topic she is passionate about and eager to drive forward.

Her advice to others? Believe in yourself, say “Yes!”—something that, in her experience, women often find challenging. Mette is available as a mentor and looks forward to sharing her experiences! She is especially keen to provide tips to young professionals starting out in the finance and real estate industry.
