Mirijam Trunk, born in 1991 in Bamberg, studied psychology, communication science, and politics in Munich and Washington, D.C. After obtaining her Master’s degree and completing her training at the German School of Journalism in Munich, she worked as a reporter at Bayerischer Rundfunk. In 2019, at the age of 27, she became the Managing Director of Bertelsmann Audio Alliance, where she established the company’s podcast business. Since 2022, she has been part of the first management level of RTL Germany and serves as Chief Crossmedia Officer responsible for brand, content, and talent development, as well as leading the sustainability and DE&I (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) department. In addition to her profession, Mirijam Trunk is a passionate supporter of gender equality initiatives and advocates for raising awareness about structural inequality of opportunities in Germany as an author and speaker.
