Natascha Sagorski studied political and communication sciences, works as an author and PR consultant, and has published several non-fiction books and novels. After experiencing a miscarriage in 2019, she became aware of the societal and political shortcomings in dealing with families after miscarriages and began advocating for a tiered maternity leave policy after such events. She launched a successful petition, spoke before the Family Committee of the German Bundestag, and has received support for her legislative initiative from all democratic parties. Sagorski is now considered a prominent voice for increased awareness and protection surrounding miscarriages (Stern). She has received political backing from JoinPolitics and has been recognized for her courage to drive change by the Institute of the Süddeutsche Zeitung and the Wirtschaftsjunioren. She lives with her family near Munich.
