Prof. Dr. Isabell M. Welpe is the holder of the Chair of Strategy and Organization at the Technical University of Munich and the director of the Bavarian State Institute for Higher Education Research. Her research focuses on strategy, leadership, innovation, and the digitalization of economy and society. Current projects by Prof. Dr. Isabell M. Welpe mainly deal with the digital transformation of companies and the working world, as well as the future of leadership, work, and organizational concepts under this influence. She has published studies and works from projects such as “The Future of Work- and Life Design,” “Social Media as Information Markets,” and the transformation of business models in (media) organizations as a result of digitalization. Prof. Welpe is a board member of the Center for Digital Technology & Management (CDTM) and a member of the “Münchner Kreis” as well as various other advisory boards. She is also a frequent speaker at the Digital Life Design (DLD) conference and listed by the magazine Capital as a Top 40 under 40 of the “digital elite”.
