Saralisa Volm

Filmmaker, author, and curator

Saralisa Volm, born in 1985, is a filmmaker, author, and curator. As an art historian, she continuously explores the boundaries between film, text, and visual arts in her work. In the mid-2000s, she was discovered by director Klaus Lemke. In 2017, the satirical film “Fikkefuchs,” produced by her and featuring Franz Rogowski, gained attention. In 2022, she appeared as Germaine Greer in the award-winning movie “When Susan Sontag Sat in the Audience” (directed by RP Kahl). Saralisa Volm was also involved as a screenwriter for this film. Her directorial debut, “Silent stands the forest,” premiered at the Berlinale in 2022.
