Simone Carstens

Simone Carstens (41) is the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer (COO | CFO) at Deutsche Telekom Privatkunden-Vertrieb GmbH. She also serves as a board member at Deutsche Telekom Service GmbH and is a mother of two kindergarten-age children. She advocates for various causes, including diversity, gender equality, and supporting female entrepreneurs. On the business platform LinkedIn, she popularized the hashtag #TheSocialCFO and shares insights into her various roles and their compatibility. Since 2022, she has been a board member at the startup “Mom Hunting,” co-founded by two women. It’s a rapidly growing recruiting platform for mothers.

Simone Carstens was honored with the Role Model Award (2nd place in the Manager category) by the nonprofit organization Startup Teens and was selected by CFO Connect as one of the “Top Women CFOs 2023” in the Large Companies category. She has contributed to the books “Mission Possible – Working Together for Gender Equality” (by Dr. Susan Niemeyer and Cornelia Wanke) and “Of Quota Women and Old White Men – Ending Prejudice in the Workplace” (by Annahita Esmailzadeh).
