Sirkka Jendis is the managing director of Tafel Deutschland, the umbrella organization for over 970 food banks in Germany. Previously, the communications science graduate was a board member of the German Protestant Kirchentag, a lecturer, and held a leadership position in the ZEIT publishing group. She lives in Berlin with her husband and their three children.
