Thao Nguyen is the founder of EQUAL CARE and an experienced IT consultant in the field of medical technology and technology. EQUAL CARE aims to make gender medicine the norm in healthcare. By making more gender-segregated evidence transparent and raising awareness about how gender affects health, the startup seeks to help close the gender health gap.

Thao began her career at Accenture in Zurich, where she worked for over a decade as an IT consultant in the field of medical technology. She was responsible for the entire software design process in the development of an IVD blood screening device. Alongside her professional work, Thao was involved in a non-profit project, where she supported “Doctors Without Borders” in developing an IT strategy for their logistics headquarters.

Thao speaks fluent German, Vietnamese, English, French, Spanish, and Catalan. In her free time, she is passionate about mountain sports, especially climbing, trail running, and skiing. Cooking and music are also among her great passions. Thao’s journey from IT consultant to startup founder reflects her passion for innovation and her commitment to a fairer and more efficient healthcare system.
