Vera Schneevoigt

Former Chief Digital Officer of Bosch Business Unit Building Technologies, Author, Guest Lecturer, Investor, and Coach

Vera Schneevoigt (59) served as Chief Digital Officer of the Bosch Business Unit Building Technologies in Munich until September 2022. Bosch Building Technologies is a globally leading provider of products and systems for security and communication, as well as for building digitization and energy automation.

Before joining the Bosch Group, Vera Schneevoigt was Managing Director at Fujitsu Technology Solutions GmbH, Augsburg, where she was responsible for product development, procurement, production, logistics, export control, and quality management for servers, notebooks (later Lenovo), and storage systems outside of Japan.

In this role, she focused on the development and introduction of new technologies in the context of advancing digitization. She also led the company’s development and production site in Augsburg. Prior to that, she was Managing Director at Siemens Enterprise Communications (now Unify), a private equity company (The Gores Group, Los Angeles), where she was responsible for procurement, factories, and logistics.

Vera Schneevoigt was involved with Fujitsu and Bosch in the Münchner Kreis e.V. and the Munich Security Network e.V., serving on the boards of both organizations until September 30, 2022.

She advises representatives of federal and state politics on the impact of digitization on the world of work and places great emphasis on promoting women, particularly in technical and digital professions. In 2018, she was among the winners of the “25 Women Award” by the business platform Edition F, and in 2020, she received the Emotion Award “Women in Leadership.”

In October 2023, she was honored by the business journal “Business Insider Germany” with the “Zukunftsmacherin 2023” (Future Maker 2023) award.

After the catastrophic flood in the Ahr Valley in July 2021, which caused massive destruction near her home, she founded the #FlutMut initiative to maintain communication about the people and projects in the Ahr Valley.

In September 2022, she left Bosch, concluding her 38-year corporate career to focus on caring for her parents and parents-in-law in Rhineland-Palatinate alongside her husband.

Despite this transition, she has continued her engagement in technology, digitization, increasing the presence of women in startups and tech fields, diversity, refugee support, and advisory and supervisory board mandates. Through keynote speeches and panel discussions, she continues to draw attention to these topics.

She was a board advisor at Futura GmbH, Borchen, an IoT startup in pest control, and is a curator at Fraunhofer AI Security (AISec) in Munich.

Since December 2023, she has also supported XX-Talents GmbH, Munich, a job platform for women, as an advisory board member.

As a consultant, she advises the startup Silber Salon (Berlin), which focuses on digital education for seniors, and goAVA (Düsseldorf), a startup specializing in data-driven avatars in healthcare and service businesses.

She is also an investor and mentor in the encourageventures e.V. network.

Since the beginning of 2024, she and her husband Thomas have been leading Guiding for Future GmbH, a company focused on consulting, coaching, and transformation support with empathy and resilience. It provides guidance to SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises), executives, and employees, especially during crisis situations and major transformations, supported by a comprehensive expert network.

In September 2024, her first book, “Wir Können Zukunft”, co-authored with journalist Vera Hermes, was published by Haufe Verlag.

She lives in the Eifel region with her husband and their Rhodesian Ridgeback dog, Etro.
