Oft halten wir an liebgewonnenen Traditionen fest und gehen ohne Druck nicht auf Veränderungen ein. Doch Gefahren liegen im Auge des Betrachters – so auch in Punkto Fachkräftemangel. Gerade für Frauen kann dieser nämlich den Schubs in die richtige Richtung bedeuten. Doch wie genau lassen sich mehr Frauen für Produktion und Technik begeistern und wie schafft man eine Atmosphäre, in der sie auch gern bleiben wollen? Herzensfragen, denen sich auch die BASF-Frauennetzwerke widmen.

Vita: Nach dem Studium der technischen Informatik an der Berufsakademie Mannheim (heute DHBW) habe ich über eine Kooperation der Hochschule Mannheim und der Hochschule Ludwigshafen ein Aufbaustudium zur Wirtschaftsingenieurin absolviert. Im Anschluss bin ich in die BASF eingetreten und dort im IT-Umfeld in der Netzwerktechnik gestartet. Später war ich in verschiedenen Aufgaben und Projekten im technischen Einkauf tätig, ich habe mich dort sowohl um den strategischen Einkauf im PLT (Prozessleittechnik)-Umfeld, um eProcurement als auch um Prozesse und Systeme gekümmert. Nach weiteren Jahren im Projekt Management Office für große Anlagenbauprojekte und in der Instandhaltungsberatung bin ich jetzt als Teamleitung in der Instandhaltung tätig.

Alte Rollenbilder und starre Strukturen – Assoziationen, die viele Frauen mit einem Industriekonzern verknüpfen. Doch gibt es diese Hemmschwellen wirklich (noch)? Silke Träber erklärt, warum sie dies für veraltetes Denken hält, und wirft mit uns einen Blick zurück auf ihre ganz persönliche Reise. Eine, bei der sie sich von einer Biologie-Diplomandin zur Genehmigungsreferentin mit Führungsaufgaben entwickelt hat, wo aus Arbeit in Vollzeit, Arbeit in Teilzeit wurde und bei der sie von einer von Wenigen zu einer von Vielen wurde. Mit im Gepäck? Stetige Weiterentwicklung auf allen Ebenen.

Vita: Nach meinem Diplomstudium (Biologie mit Schwerpunkt Ökologie) in Heidelberg im Jahr 1998, habe ich bei BASF in verschiedensten Bereichen wie der Ökoeffizienz-Analyse, Klimagashandel und dem Bereichscontrolling gearbeitet, bevor ich Ende 2007 in die Elternzeit ging. Seit meiner Rückkehr in den Beruf im Jahr 2008, übernehme ich die Leitung von verschiedenen Teams. Seit März 2021 nun in der Funktion als Sen. Managerin für Genehmigungsverfahren.
