ZONTA International Empowering Women, München
ZONTA is a global association of professional women in positions of responsibility. We see ourselves as a modern network for the promotion of women in work and society. Our claim is “Empowering Women”. Zonta is committed to a world where women’s rights are recognized as human rights and every woman can develop her full potential. There are four Zonta Clubs in Munich, the first of which was founded in 1952 by Zonta International. The clubs take part in international Zonta campaigns and initiate local projects. Focus projects in Munich are “Zonta says No” (No violence against women) as well as “Poverty prevention in old age” through financial independence.
